Brandon Webb's K Foundation 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic Presented By Verrado

What could be better than: a round of golf with 2006 Cy Young Winner Brandon Webb, his teammates and celebrity guests at the Raven Golf Club? A round of golf that benefits an organization dedicated to changing the lives of at-risk phoenix area youth.

On November 6th, Brandon Webb's K Foundation held its 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic presented by Verrado. The beautiful Raven Golf Club played host and provided a wonderful setting for this year's event. Once again, the outing did not disappoint and kept its status as one of the area's top celebrity golf events.

The Shamble format and the opportunity to play with Diamondback celebrities such as Brandon, Jeff Moorad, Connor Jackson, Russ Ortiz, Red Sox 1st Baseman Kevin Youkilis, Blue Jays 3rd Baseman Eric Hinske and many others attracted another great crowd.

On top of the excitement of golfing with celebrities, each golfer was provided over $100 in items from the "Ultimate Pro-Shop" featuring the hottest items from Nike Golf, Adidas Golf and TaylorMade, as well as a beautiful way to display their experience in the form of a commemorative framed series of 8" x 10" pictures of Brandon, their team and their celebrity. In addition to enjoying a great day of golf, each golfer had their fill with on-course food and drink from Outback Steakhouse, Maggiano's Little Italy and Dryers Ice Cream.

Every successful event includes prizes and at the conclusion of the Classic, prizes were awarded to the two teams with the lowest scores. Verrado #2 played with Jeff Moorad and posted the event's lowest score and won top honors.

For their talents and efforts each player received a $135 gift certificate to Raven Golf Club's pro-shop. Pro-shop gift certificates were also awarded to the winners of the National Car Rental Most Accurate Drive, Longest Putt, Longest Drive and Closest to the Hole competitions; The K Foundation looks forward to holding another successful Celebrity Golf Classic next year and hopes to see you there!
