Sports stars to aid children in need
PHOENIX - Two Arizona sports stars are helping Valley kids in need this week.
Arizona Diamondback pitcher Brandon Webb will visit pediatric patients at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, 124 W. Thomas Road, at 10 a.m. Monday.
Webb will be delivering two lockers full of toys, blankets and books. Staff from Webb's K Foundation will keep the lockers continually full to provide comfort and fun to the patients.
Arizona Cardinals player Bertrand Berry is hosting his annual Jock to B-Train's Holiday Express shopping spree with the kids of Childhelp, a non-profit that helps young victims of abuse and neglect.
Berry and fellow Cardinals teammates will be at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 1607 W. Bethany Home Road, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
