1st Annual Celebrity Steak Out was a Homerun
On Sunday, December 2nd Brandon Webb's K Foundation hosted its 1st Annual Celebrity Steak Out at Donovan's Steak & Chop House.
Brandon was joined by nearly 200 guests - all anxious to indulge in Donovan's famous prime beef, succulent seafood and signature spirits. Guests were also invited to browse the silent and live auction items displayed throughout Donovan's.
After an hour of greeting guests and talking baseball, Brandon stepped to the podium and thanked all of our guests for attending. He explained how at this time of the year our families are probably more important to us than at any other time - but in Arizona more than 7,500 families will spend the holidays around the hospital bed of a chronically or critically ill child.
Brandon spoke about why the K Foundation's goal to improve the lives of critically and chronically ill children throughout Arizona is important to him and his wife, Alicia. He spoke about how providing daily support and life changing experiences through "Brandon's Locker" and "Field of Dreams," the K Foundation will make a real impact in the lives of these children. Brandon thanked everyone for their support of the K Foundation and excitedly announced it was live auction time.
The live auction featured the following items:
- a round of golf with Brandon & Eric Byrnes at Paradise Valley Country Club
- a framed set of three baseballs signed Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle
- a Barrett-Jackson VIP Package
- a round of golf with Brandon & Conor Jackson at ASU's Karsten Golf Course
- a Donovan's Wine Cellar Dinner with Brandon
- a Luxury Suite to a 2008 Diamondbacks' game
At the end of the evening, the live and silent auctions raised over $35,000.
A very special thank you goes out to the following:
